Feeding America is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. Their mission is to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger.
A dollar donation to Feeding America equals 11 meals secured and distributed by Feeding America on behalf of local food banks. (Subject to change based on annual conversation rates.) Feeding America does this through securing food on a local and national level from manufacturers, retailers, farmers, government sources and consumer donations; distributing food on a local level through its network of 200 food banks; raising funds from local and national corporations, foundations and individuals; sharing best practices and advocating on a local and national level for those who are food insecure and more often than not without powerful allies fighting for them.
